Excellent study guide. The author not only give correct answers for all the possible questions on the exam but explains why and at times goes a bit further . I used only this book and aced the exam on my first try. I also used the author's book for the technician exam. I am looking forward to his book for the extra exam.
I used the first book in the series "Fast Track to your Technician Class Ham Radio License" to study for my first test in November. I passed it easily. I decided to purchase the "Fast Track to your General Class Ham Radio License" when I decided to go ahead and upgrade my ham license. I used this book and the excellent practice tests available on the internet to prepare for the General examination. I took the exam after about two weeks of study, passed it with 34 out of 35 correct answers. The author goes through the test sections, gives you the correct answers and explains why they are correct, as well as why the other answers are wrong. I would recommend this as a study aid to anyone who wants to pass the exam.
I picked up this book on Kindle so that I could study for my General Class license. After reviewing the info in this book I had no problem passing my General Class exam. This isn’t just a cram it and forget it book. You actually get the reason behind each answer which helped me understand why something was the way it was. Not just “an answerâ€. I recommend this book for anyone going for their General Class Amateur Radio license.
I love the "Fast Track" books. I got my Technician license with Mike's Technician book and only missed 2 questions on the test. I am hoping for the same or better results on my General. Mike makes things interesting and fun with his "Fast Track" books. I will definitely get his book on the Extra license if I decide to pursue that test!!
I got my license by listening to this audio book and taking practice tests on line, Michael Burnette does a great job imparting the knowledge and explains things so you can understand. It takes it from just memorization to actually knowing. I just started his Extra class book. It's just as good. I'm a fan thanks for making the ham radio license process easy.
Similar to my experience with the Fast Track To Your Technician Class Ham Radio License...I bought the book about 4 weeks ago (August 6th), read it in just over a week, practiced every day on HamExam.org and took the test today, September 2nd.I passed the General License test this morning!Thanks Michael!My only frustration was that the Table of Contents did not work in the Kindle Edition.
